BETTER HUMANITY PROJECT
We are a grassroots organization with a mission to activate our community to help our neighbors locally and around the world through curated events, organized community building, and social initiatives.
OUR MISSION
To connect and activate our local communities through philanthropic initiatives and curated social events for a better world. We’re committed to protecting children in need, supporting our homeless communities, and bringing together local businesses to aid in the greater good.
CHARITY EVENTS
We decided to create a project amidst COVID-19, to let 2020 be dedicated to our neighbors around the world — focusing on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen targeting children. We hosted a Cookies and Cocktails virtual charity event to help raise much needed supplies and funds. Through our virtual evening of festivities, we were able to activate communities around us, donate essential supplies, and raise $10,000 to help the suffering children in Yemen.
PARTNERSHIPS
We have partnered with Primeros Pasos this past holiday season to join hands in raising much needed funds for the Palajunoj Valley communities during these difficult times. Our combined efforts to provide support for their healthcare in places that do not have access and provide expanded outreach by activating our communities will contribute to their long standing efforts to further serve their mission for the poverty stricken villages.
EDUCATION
AVID is a nationwide program that stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination serving 1st generation students and those who are underrepresented, to prepare for college. We helped fundraise and create merchandise for the students to wear during their annual event; a Meet & Greet for 80 students to work on team building, community and resiliency. We’ve raised over $1,500 for the event and towards the students’ yearly fund.
